Money on this site flows one way: from a lender to Loans Victoria, never from you. This page names the single event that triggers a fee, shows why your loan's price cannot move because of it, lists exactly what the apply link transmits and what we never learn, and explains why none of it makes us a lender or a broker.
When a fee is paid
A referral fee is paid on one event only: a licensed lender funding a loan for someone who arrived through this site. A declined application pays nothing, an abandoned form pays nothing, and a loan cancelled inside BC's cancellation window, which runs to the end of the second day the lender is open for business after the advance, pays nothing either. On the lender's side the fee is marketing spend, no different from a bus shelter ad on Douglas Street.
Your price never moves
The fee is never added to a loan and never raises a repayment. A BC payday lender prices at or under $14 per $100 under Part 6.1 of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, so $300 costs $42 and $342 comes out on the next payday whether you found the lender here, through a search or from a coworker at the dockyard. An installment lender quotes under the federal 35% APR ceiling on the same basis. Not one cent of any repayment reaches this site.

What the apply link transmits
A single site code rides the apply link, telling the platform the visit started at loansvictoria.ca so a funded loan can be matched back. Nothing about you travels with it: no name, no location, no record of the pages you read, and the browser sends no referrer. The privacy page goes deeper, and the how it works page shows what the platform asks once you arrive.
What we never see
Your application, your bank connection, your credit file, the decision and the terms you sign all stay invisible to us. The platform matches on employment income, province and chequing account; what comes back here is a notice that a loan funded and a fee is owed, nothing more. Which lender said yes is not disclosed to us.

No lender buys a place here
No placement, ranking or mention is for sale on this site, and no lender is named anywhere on it. There are no lender reviews, no shortlists and no steering toward one company over another. The fee gives us an interest in applications that fund; it buys no say in which lender funds them.
Still not a lender, still not a broker
Accepting a referral fee does not make Loans Victoria a lender, a loan broker or an adviser, and no Consumer Protection BC licence attaches to it, because it neither lends nor arranges loans for anyone. Pages plus one link are the entire operation; everything after the click belongs to the platform and the lender. The about page says who we are, and the terms of use set the ground rules.
